In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

This could be it....

Hi Everyone,
Yep!  It's me.
I always said I was not going to be one of those bloggers that just quit blogging,
and leave you wondering what happened to me.

So here's what happened.
I'm burnt out on blogging.
I know.  It makes me sad.
And
Since we started building the house we live in,
I haven't really had a schedule.
Blogging has just been done in a hurry and I haven't kept it going like I wanted to.
The house is finished now, but I'm still trying to get some sort of schedule.
It may never happen.
And lastly,
I'm bored with my blog.
If I'm bored with it,
then you have to be bored with it.

I do have some ideas for blogging.....
such as to tell you all the stuff that has been going on in my life over the last couple of years.
Not the fun family stuff, not the trips, (maybe a little bit of family and trips)
but the real life stuff.
The pain on my head that lasted for a year and a half,
the teeth,
the skin cancer,
the hip pain, etc!
Yes, I'm falling apart!
But I'm feeling better now.

I could talk about how I try every day to eat healthy, exercise, and lose weight,
and how I blow it by noon.  Maybe we could try together.
I'm on Day 6 of Yoga with Adriene on You Tube.

I could talk about all the crafty stuff.
I'm finally getting my crafty mojo back, after this house building project.
I'm making junk journals (obsessed)
and still crocheting.

I could take you down to the basement!!!!
You could help me clean it up!
I could post stuff for sale.
But that would require mailing it.  Ugh!

I could talk about herbs (I'm getting back into them now that I have the time again)
essential oils
gardening (I'm a Master Gardener you know)

Anyway, I'm ok...
I've been keeping busy...
Not in a bad way....
I've learned to say no!
I'm de-stressing...

You tell me...
Anyone interested?
If so, I'll see about blogging some more.
If not, I'm going to say buh bye.

Ta Ta (for now)

PS...I'm giving up the beekeeping.  So I will no longer be the Bee Lady. (sad face)

Christmas open houses and a couple of recipes!

 Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is a great recipe for a salad that my sister makes that I love!
And this cheese spread was pretty good if you need an appy recipe.
 What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving?
We go to my Sister and her husband's house, so all I have to do is cook a couple of things to take.

A couple of weeks ago Mom and I went to some Christmas open houses.
The first one was Horton's in Tipton.
They are having another one on December 1 and they will have vendors there at that time.  So if you missed this one, you might want to try to get to the one on December 1st.
Here are a few of the decorations.
I love hanging lights and lanterns.

After Hortons, we went to a little mall next door to Horton's, and visited a few boutique shops.
One store had antiques and this album was there.
It was a little pricey so I didn't get it, but I did manage to get this picture!
Kris Kristofferson - dayamm...

After we went to the mall, we ate (fast food) then stopped by Bowden's Flowers.
They were having an open house.
This was in an alcove up by the ceiling.

Who has their Christmas decorations up?  (nope)
Who is in the Christmas spirit? (yep)
Who is ready for Thanksgiving? (yep)

Cute animals post!

So... I found out I have been leaving comments on your blogs, from my phone, and you all are not getting them!  So irritating.  And I've been doing it for over a month!  I don't sleep well at night, so when I wake up, I read your blogs...and comment.   I don't know what the deal is but I will TRY to make sure my comments are visible from now on.

I had these pictures downloaded from the end of October, so I'm going to go ahead and post them, but I can't wait to show you some pictures of where we went this past few days.  I'm not a fan of winter...mostly for reasons like today.  We are having an ice storm right now.  It's been going on all night long.
There will be accidents.
There are power outages.
Power lines are snapping and catching fire.
Schools are closed.
I just hate it.
And I don't like to be cold.
HOWEVER!
I have decided that I'm doing everything I can to enjoy winter this year.
And I'm actually looking forward to it.
(must be the supplements I'm taking!)
And we started our fun this past week.
But for now, you're going to have to settle for a cute animals post.

You know when you go for a walk, and you feel like you're being followed!

Apparently, our feral cat loves our dog sitter!  So, when she walks the dog, the cat joins. Well, now when I walk the dog, the cat follows us!  We've been feeding this cat since the freezing weather last winter.  She doesn't want anything to do with us, which is fine by me, but she does get mad when we don't feed her on her time schedule!  She comes up to our door and grabs on and looks inside meowing loudly!
She looks mean here, but it's just a yawn that I happened to capture!

And these animals, all belong to my cousin and his wife!  It made me almost want to get farm animals....almost.

The cows are Scottish Highland cows and came from a friend of mine.  She was selling them, and I told my cousins wife about them, and they bought them!
Don't you just love them!
"Wait...let me give you my cute face."
"Wait for me....I have a cute face too!"
"Oh dear...come over to the other side of the fence and take our picture!"
"There...how's that!"
Now seriously this one did not get dressed up for the party!
Even worse, but they were having the most fun!
My cousin and his wife raise, butcher, and grow all of their own food.  And it's such a surprise to us.  They are both career driven professionals, but they love it.

I find it very admirable!
